Why 2027 is worth a close look
Plans can change their premiums, copays, drug coverage and doctor networks every year. Some plans end entirely, and some stop covering certain counties. Your plan mails an Annual Notice of Change (By September 30, 2026) explaining what's different for 2027. If your plan is ending or leaving your county, you'll get a separate notice.
What happens after December 7, 2026
Once Annual Enrollment closes, most people have to wait for another enrollment window. The exceptions: if your plan is ending, you get a Special Enrollment Period that runs through February 28, 2027, and anyone in a Medicare Advantage plan can make one change duringMedicare Advantage Open Enrollment (January 1 – March 31, 2027).
