If you're in a Medicare Advantage plan and it isn't working for you, you get one more chance to change after the new year: January 1 – March 31, 2027.

What you can do
- Switch to a different Medicare Advantage plan (with or without drug coverage).
- Drop your Medicare Advantage plan and return to Original Medicare, and join a separate Part D drug plan.
You can make one change during this window. Your new coverage starts the first day of the month after the plan gets your request.
Who can use it
People enrolled in a Medicare Advantage plan on January 1, 2027. It doesn't apply if you only have Original Medicare or only a stand-alone drug plan.
When it helps most
If your new 2027 plan turns out to have the wrong doctors, higher drug costs, or benefits that don't fit, this is your window to fix it without waiting until next fall.
