If your plan is being terminated
The plan will not exist in 2027. If you do nothing, you return to Original Medicare on January 1 with no drug coverage. You get a Special Enrollment Period from December 8 through the end of February, and guaranteed-issue rights to buy a Medigap policy for 63 days after your coverage ends.
If your plan is reducing its service area
The plan continues elsewhere but is dropping Harris County. Because you live in the county being dropped, you are treated the same as a member of a terminated plan: you must pick new coverage and receive the same Special Enrollment Period and Medigap protections.
